Sandy Springs FAQs

At Town Square, we know our unique concept has a lot of people inquiring further. See below for answers to some of the questions we hear the most, or contact us for more info.

Who is Town Square Sandy Springs for?

Our services are geared towards adults in need of daytime care and/or enrichment and who may or may not carry an Alzheimer’s or dementia diagnosis. Members must be in overall good physical health and have a sufficient level of mobility to participate in activities.

We also serve the community at large by providing free care consultations, facilitating support groups, and hosting educational events.

What does membership at Town Square Sandy Springs cost?

Our rates range from $109-$149 per day depending on the needs of the individual member and the frequency of weekly attendance. Currently, we operate on a private-pay basis; however, some of the cost may be covered by various benefits or scholarship programming. Contact us to learn more.

Do you offer financial aid?

We know all financial situations are unique, and we work hard to help families take advantage of any existing benefits, scholarship opportunities, and other means of aid.

Some of our families leverage long-term care insurance or VA Aid & Attendance. Others utilize savings and/or pension plans, financial assistance from family members, reverse mortgages, annuities, life insurance policies, and/or retirement benefits.

Does Town Square Sandy Springs provide medical services?

Yes. We employ a clinical director who oversees a full-time nurse on-staff. Our nurse provides health education, medication dispersement, ongoing medical monitoring, and the coordination of care with outside medical providers. In addition, most of our program assistants are CNAs that provide personal care assistance.

How is Town Square Sandy Springs different from other adult day cares?

We’re different in just about every capacity. Our state-of-the-art facility replicates a small, mid-century American town, which is a key part of our unique programming rooted in reminiscence therapy. Our model gives our members (both with and without dementia) a purposeful, fulfilling day using their formative memories as the springboard.

We also serve as a family resource center, providing free care consultations, educational workshops, and support groups.

What additional care services does Town Square Sandy Springs provide?

In addition to our day programs, we offer add-ons like showering, hair and nail services, regular health assessments, and the coordination of care with outside medical and home care providers.

We also serve as family Alzheimer’s resource center open to the community, providing free care consultations and conducting regular support groups and educational seminars.

What are care consultations?

Our care consultations and planning sessions provide an overall assessment of a patient’s current status as well as a roadmap for the future. We will discuss ways to maintain or improve their quality of life, leveraging the strengths and mitigating the weaknesses of both the care partner and patient, alike. The comprehensive consultations include options for respite, resource referral, and general advice from our director and experienced gerontologist, Mary Caldwell.

Is the facility available for rent?

Yes! In fact, we rent out the 12,000 sq. ft. space on evenings and weekends. It’s the perfect venue for birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, fundraisers, and more. Get in touch for pricing and other details about our facility.

Does Town Square Sandy Springs provide transportation?
