Who is Town Square Sandy Springs for?

Our services are geared towards adults in need of daytime care and/or enrichment and who may or may not carry an Alzheimer’s or dementia diagnosis. Members must be in overall good physical health and have a sufficient level of mobility to participate in activities.

We also serve the community at large by providing free care consultations, facilitating support groups, and hosting educational events.

Our rates range from $122-$149 per day depending on the needs of the individual member and the frequency of attendance. Breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon refreshment are all included in the price as is our robust, therapeutic curriculum.

Currently, we operate on a private-pay basis; however, some of the cost may be covered by various benefits or scholarship funding. Contact us to learn more.

Our nurses provide health education, medication dispersement, ongoing medical monitoring, and the coordination of care with outside medical providers. In addition, many of our program assistants are CNAs who can provide personal care assistance.

How is Town Square Sandy Springs different from other adult day cares?

We’re different in just about every capacity. Our state-of-the-art facility replicates a small, mid-century American town, which is a key part of our unique programming rooted in reminiscence therapy. Our model gives our members (both with and without dementia) a purposeful, fulfilling day using their formative memories as the springboard.

We also serve as a family resource center, providing free care consultations, educational workshops, and support groups.

What additional care services does Town Square Sandy Springs provide?

In addition to our day programs, we offer add-ons like showering, hair and nail services, regular health assessments, and the coordination of care with outside medical and home care providers.

We also serve as family Alzheimer’s resource center open to the community, providing free care consultations and conducting regular support groups and educational seminars.

What are care consultations?

Our care consultations and planning sessions provide an overall assessment of a patient’s current status as well as a roadmap for the future. We will discuss ways to maintain or improve their quality of life, leveraging the strengths and mitigating the weaknesses of the care partner and the patient alike. The comprehensive consultations include options for respite, resource referral, and general advice from our director and experienced gerontologist, Mary Caldwell.

Is the Town Square staff credentialed?

Yes. Our Executive Director is a gerontologist with a background in social work, and our nurse is an RN, BSN. We also employee LPNs, CNAs, and all of our staff members are Certified Dementia Practitioners (CDPs).
