HISTORY
Town Square is transforming the adult day care space by providing a one-of-a-kind interactive experience for seniors throughout the country. This experience is based on creating a mid-century town square, complete with multiple themed activity rooms called storefronts. Using cues from their surrounding and carefully crafted activities throughout the day, participants are transported back in time while they reminisce and engage in lively conversation.
Town Square distinguishes itself within the industry through its adaptive and person-centered approach to activities. Our focus is on each member’s individual background and interests, ensuring that our programming is not only engaging but also fosters a sense of accomplishment and productivity. We tailor our activities to accommodate the varying abilities and levels of focus of our members on any given day. Ultimately, our aim is to facilitate positive experiences that enhance interactions and outcomes for both the member and their family.
In addition to our engaging daily activities and opportunities for connection, Town Square offers a space where seniors can access a range of crucial medical and non-medical care services, all conveniently situated in a safe, convenient, and reliable center. Families recognize Town Square staff as experts in the senior care industry, providing indispensable support and community resources through the challenges of the aging journey.
The initial Town Square location was opened in California by our strategic partner, The George G. Glenner Foundation, an organization with more than 35 years of experience in the adult day care industry. The Glenner Foundation was founded by Dr. George G. Glenner and his wife Joy. Dr. Glenner was a physician and Alzheimer’s researcher at the UCSD School of Medicine. He worked to better understand the pathology of the disease and became world-renowned for his research. His proven reminiscence approach provides an amazing experience for participants when compared to existing adult day care programming.
