What’s next for your loved one with dementia?

Before Town Square Sarasota opened in February of 2022, the only choices for care were in-home caregivers and a memory care community. While bringing a private duty nursing company into your home can help ensure the safety of your loved one and provide caregivers with respite, it may not prioritize engagement and socialization for your loved one, which can be lacking. Now, Town Square can provide 40 hours of care, engagement, and socialization (as well as respite for the caregiver) per week. Even with this, many of these families will still need more help at night and on weekends. Combining in-home care with Adult Day Care can offer the necessary stimulation and provide caregivers with additional relief at home, all at a more affordable cost compared to memory care, which can exceed $6500 per month. It’s important to note that for Veterans, these Day Care costs can often be covered by the VA!

Memory Care

At some point, the care at home can become overwhelming for some families and a memory care community becomes necessary. This process can be quite confusing for families, as communities differ in geography, cost, reputation, services, and licensing. To help families navigate this stage, Town Square partners with experts to narrow down the best options—all at no additional cost!
