Town Square Northwest Austin is a senior day care operating with a unique model, offering beneficial services to all our members. Our company is focused on providing engaging assistance to the people we serve, who are primarily senior citizens with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia, but also include those without cognitive difficulties who still want to participate in our enriching, social, and fun activities.
Town Square was founded by professionals at a top national provider of home healthcare, Senior Helpers. Thanks to their senior care experience, our founders realized that no company was meeting communities’ needs for a place for seniors to share formative experiences in a psychologically beneficial way, gather with their peers, and have a fun and engaging day.
Town Square’s founding tenets are based on the work of Dr. George G. Glenner, the creator of reminiscence therapy. Our unique storefront layout is crafted to spark memories, socialization, learning, and engagement. Each of the storefronts themselves – our specialized activity areas – replicates a location in a 1950s small town.
