Town Square University Parkway 3rd Annual Sock Hop in Sarasota – free 1950s senior community event

Join Town Square University Parkway for our 3rd Annual Sock Hop on Wednesday, March 25, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. This free community event is open to the public and offers a unique opportunity to experience our immersive, 1950s-themed Town Square environment.

The Sock Hop celebrates the anniversary of Town Square University Parkway opening its doors and highlights the impact we have made over the past year supporting seniors, individuals living with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, and their caregivers. Guests are invited to step back in time and enjoy classic 1950s-inspired food and drinks, including hamburgers and root beer floats, along with live entertainment in a nostalgic setting.

A key highlight of the evening is our Make an Impact Award Ceremony, where we honor outstanding men and women who are making a meaningful difference in the local senior care and aging services community. These awards recognize individuals and organizations whose dedication improves the quality of life for older adults and caregivers throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.

Attendees will enjoy free food and beverages, live entertainment, a community award ceremony, and the opportunity to connect with local families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and senior service providers—making this a memorable and meaningful celebration for the entire community.
