What sets University Parkway apart
Town Square is an active adult day center offering specialized care for those with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and sight impairments, as well as mobility issues. We are here to help your loved one age at home.
Our unique program offers a 1950s and a 1960s-themed senior day care center built to facilitate reminiscence therapy. Our goal is promoting independence through activities, engagement, and socialization. Members have access to multiple activities, including 15 different storefronts to explore, within a safe & secure environment.
What is Reminiscence therapy
The concept of reminiscence therapy was developed by the George G. Glenner Alzheimer’s Family Centers foundation.That’s why our activities take place in our “storefronts” – a unique layout that replicates a mid-century small town center. Each storefront is themed around a particular location and offers programming that sparks memories, discussion, social interaction, and creativity.
Medical Services within Town Square University
In addition to our daily activity schedule, Town Square University also offers a full list of medical services. Providing a medical model allows us to help our members with medication assistance, primary care, psychiatric care, lab, and PT/OT services. We will also be providing quarterly podiatry, audiologist, and dermatology services. For a full list of our business partners please see the partner tab. By offering so many services inside our Town Square atmosphere, we hope we can provide a new level of convenience for the members and their families.
Outreach Opportunities
Town Square’s adult day center works with local mentorship programs, volunteer services, and outreach opportunities. We are able to invite local artists to entertain our members with guest performances, acts, and classes. We want to cater to the likes and the interests of the unique individuals who make up our membership.
